A series of images on painted banners tells a story of an event in U.S. history that pitted white Americans against black Americans. The Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 was a massacre confined mainly to the racially segregated Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, from May 31 to June 1, 1921. The artist, Leslee Stradford, is a descendant of victims in that riot. This event is in partnership with Norfolk State University. Exhibit continues through February 13.

Bayesian search theory provides a well-developed method for planning searches for missing aircraft, ships lost at sea, or people missing on land. Botto, who performed until 1989 and served as Artistic Director until his death in 1997. Chanticleer is known around the world as “an orchestra of voices” for the seamless blend of its 12 male voices (ranging from soprano to bass), and its original interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz and popular genres, as well as contemporary composition. Wed, Feb 10 - Virginia Beach Forum: Ann Compton, Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, 7:30 pm, 201 Market Street, Virginia Beach. Ann Compton joined ABC News in 1973 becoming the first woman assigned to cover the White House by a network television news organization. Her reports spanned four decades covering Watergate, the personal side of first families, political conventions, debates and elections. On September 11, 2001, she was the only broadcast reporter allowed to remain aboard Air Force One during the dramatic hours when President Bush was unable to return to Washington. Inducted to the Journalism Hall of Fame, Compton has received Peabody Awards and a News' Emmy. Compton gives audiences unprecedented access to herself as well, turning the tables on the audience by declaring a "White House Press Conference" is in session.
