All the Way LIVE! features two amateur competitions — a contest for adults and a separate category for children. Talent will be selected from auditions, and competitors will compete for cash prizes.

Sun, Sep 7 - First Sunday Evenings, The American Theater, 7:30 pm, Phoebus, Hampton. The Venue on 35th, a small storefront performing arts space dedicated to showcasing local artists from many genres, will bring to The American Theatre a slice of local urban art every First Sunday Evening of the month. Since The Venue is the home of the Virginia Playwrights Forum, many of the First Sunday Evenings will be showcasing the Forum’s new play development program. Presented will be staged readings of scripts with talk-back sessions, workshops, and full productions of new full-lengths, one-acts and ten-minute plays written by VPF members. The Forum will also reserve some time to read and critique scripts from The American Theatre’s Mentor Program for high school students who want to write for the stage.
